stay. a modern dog hotel

Our family loves Stay, especially Cali (our dog). She is a very timid and anxious pup, the handlers are very good with her and she is always wagging her tail when they come grab her in the morning. All the staff is very friendly and communicative. They accommodate her by letting her pee outside during daycare which is a big plus! The other day we were running late picking her up on a weekend day and they waited the 10 minutes for us to grab her. We love being able to watch the cameras. Also they provide cute little lunch bags for each dog.

I am writing this review and hope things can be changed or improved somehow. Last couple months I had my german shepherd (gsd) Spot starting a couple daycare and boarding at Stay. While i appreciated the efforts to accept Spot while she was not fixed and had staff provided solo care. However, after the dog being fixed and was sent to Stay for a boarding, i was told my dog still not able to let handlers bring her out to play with other dogs and was told my dog needs to attend a training for gsd due to some aggressive, panic or nervous issue. I respectfully disagreed with the suggestions and i was right when i had my dog boarding last week at another facility that she had never been there before. During 5 days at the new facility, which i will not provide the name, my dog was out on the first day with other dogs that i could see on their cameras and I also received her pictures every other day for the 5 day boarding at the facility. Thanks for reading this far. Hopefully that I can give the extra 1 or 2 more stars later if i have to send my dog to Stay again and things can done similar to what happened at the other facility.

EDIT: Still 5 stars but this is for Angela! She is wonderful and great. Our dog instantly loved her. Will book with her again. We were worried because we asked her to share more of his paws and mouth and do teeth brushing and was not sure how our dog will take it. Came out looking amazing and happy. Angela did an amazing job. Great for grooming. Jason is amazing. We just adopted our fuzz ball, and he needed a full shave down (aka after shelter cut). Our fluffy one was matted, fur out grown in paws, and needed ear cleaning. Jason did a great job. Jason took great care, giving him a full shave to get the shelter out of him.

If it could be rated a zero it would be. Everytime I call, they are always booked and then they institute new policies so the dog has to come for a full day of doggie daycare to be accepted before another reservation can be booked. Just another way to get more $$$ generated for the facility. They don’t care about the dogs, they care about the bottom line. Maybe other don’t work and can take the time for this ridiculous request but I can’t. This is a golden retriever that is 9 years old, not a pit bull AND HE HAS STAYED there before. The manager Rose is extremely demeaning and rude. I would not leave any pet there. If that’s the way they treat dog parents, I would hate to see how they treat the dogs. I was advised by many not to leave him there anyway because they come back dirty and anxiety ridden and would not ever take their dogs back.
